Additionally, travel agents also have the ability to take payments for your trip instead of paying for the entire trip upfront when you book with online websites.

None! In fact, you actually lower your risk of dealing with something unpleasant while you travel. Emergencies unfortunately do happen, and a travel agent can help you navigate dealing with the unexpected on your trip. They can also help you with travel insurance so those emergencies don't result in an expense you can't afford.

Not only can they book your transportation and accommodations, they can also research and book any excursions or activities you might be interested in enjoying.
